As a member of the Planning Enforcement and Monitoring Team, you will play an important role in ensuring the appropriate delivery of sustainable waste management development and the supply of vital mineral resources across the County. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Minerals and Waste development is implemented and operated in a compliant manner. The role will have a primary focus on the regulation of authorised mineral and waste development with opportunities to pursue formal and informal remedies to issues identified at authorised sites. The role will also support the team in the carrying out of its reactive work, conducting and supporting on investigations into unauthorised Minerals and Waste development. Shortlisting Criteria To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following: A degree qualification in land-use planning or related field (geography, environmental science, urban design, architecture, geology, sustainability) A good understanding of land-use planning in England particularly within local government Intellectual ability, political awareness and skills that would enable you to work in a team and be a good communicator, negotiator, influencer and leader Excellent IT skills, including MS Office and database management systems The role holder will need to have the willingness and ability to travel around the county to meet the demands of the role.
