Senior Manufacturing Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a global technology company best known for designing high quality products used in military, law enforcement and rescue applications.
This is a brand new position on this site giving you the opportunity to make the role your own and create a real impact!
Key Tasks:
1. Lead the design, development and implementation of manufacturing processes for new and existing products
2. Drive the seamless transition of new products from prototype to full-scale manufacturing
3. Partner with New Product Development (NPD) to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) during development
4. Create and maintain SAP routings to accurately reflect production processes and ensure efficient ERP integration
5. Optimise production workflows, layouts and equipment usage to reduce waste and improve throughput
6. Production jig and fixture design for ease of manufacturability within production
7. Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
8. Investigate/source modern and innovative materials and equipment
9. Analyse costs and deliver solutions that improve both performance and profitability
Requirements:
1. Qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree)
2. Min 7+ years of experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
3. Hands-on approach and a deep understanding of production processes and industrial equipment
4. Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing
5. Experience of Jig & Fixture design and DFMEA process
6. Strong communicator and team player, capable of leading cross-functional projects
7. UK Driving License and valid passport for occasional travel between UK & U.S.
