Commercial solicitor

Job Description

A leading national law firm is seeking to appoint a Commercial Solicitor to join its growing Midlands-based Commercial team.

This appointment has arisen as a result of continued regional growth and increasing client demand, presenting an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified solicitor or junior associate to develop their career within a well-established and highly regarded commercial practice.

Working closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers, the successful candidate will advise a broad range of clients, from owner-managed businesses to large national organisations, across a variety of sectors including manufacturing, technology, engineering, logistics and professional services.

The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in a wide range of commercial matters, including:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
• Supply, procurement and service agreements
• Terms and conditions of business
• Technology and IT-related agreements
• Outsourcing and managed service arrangements
• Commercial advisory work supporting clients' day-to-day operations
• Supporting senior lawyers on complex commercial transactions and projects

Skills required

• Experience of commercial contract drafting and negotiation gained within a recognised commercial practice
• Strong technical legal skills and attention to detail
• A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to legal advice

• The ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• A genuine interest in developing a career within commercial law
