Age UK North, South & West Dorset is an independent local charity dedicated to supporting the physical and mental well-being of older people across rural Dorset. For nearly 70 years, we have helped older individuals stay independent and enjoy life by providing direct services, organising social activities, and advocating for their voices. Our team of staff and volunteers is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the older community.

Role Descriptions

All roles require travel across the Age UK NSWD area; a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

Age UK North, South, West Dorset is growing, and we're recruiting for several exciting new roles to help us deliver more for older people in our community. Full-time and part-time Office/ Community and hybrid roles, with our office located in Dorchester.

We're looking for:

* Activities & Wellbeing Manager
– growing social groups and income-generating activities
* Footcare Team Leader
– leading our trusted footcare service
* Fundraiser
– building community support and income to sustain our work
* Service Administrator
– providing essential admin and coordination support
* Home Support Team Members
– delivering vital support to older people in their homes

These are fantastic opportunities to make a real difference, working with a passionate and supportive charity team.

Day-to-day tasks may include coordinating and delivering direct services, organising social activities, advocating for older individuals, maintaining detailed records, and collaborating with volunteers and other team members.

Qualifications

* Experience in coordinating and delivering services and support
* Strong organizational and planning skills for managing activities and events
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for advocacy and collaboration
* Ability to maintain detailed records and handle administrative tasks
* Understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by older people
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Experience with volunteer coordination is a plus
* Relevant experience or background in social care, community work, or a related field
