Are you interested in joining a rapidly expanding Imaging Service at Barts Health NHS Trust? We are looking to recruit reliable caring and experienced Senior Nursing Assistants at band 3 who have a patient centred approach to nursing care, excellent communication skills and can demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude in the delivery of care. You will be a team player, eager to support the registered nursing staff and Operative Department Practitioners to ensure the smooth running of the department and efficient throughput of patients. You will be required to achieve competencies to enable you undertake assigned clinical tasks under the supervision of a registered practitioner (NMC/HPC).

As part of the recruitment process for this post, candidates will be required to complete an online literacy and numeracy test and only if they pass this, will they be invited to a formal interview.
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain the highest standard of indivisualised and holistic patient care within the Radiology Department and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary team.
To undertake Radiology procedures (including Nuclear Medecine, breast Screening) in delivery of patient care, pre peri-op and post procedure of diagnotics and/or intervention.

Essential criteria
1. •Basic Numeracy and Literacy skills (English and Maths GCSE’s or equivalent).
2. •NVQ Level 2.
3. •NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent or willing to work towards undertake training to level 3).
4. •Basic computer Skills

5. •Experience of working in a healthcare setting for s duration long enough to have obtained relevant competencies for a band 3 post.
