Role: Database Administrator
Location: We operate a hybrid schedule, meaning 1 day a week in the office based at Thorpe Park, Leeds.

What you'll be doing?
* Ensure all database platforms are highly available
* Ensure all data sources are secure and access is controlled, reviewed, and audited
* Support BI developers, application experts and middleware developers in their efforts to integrate and report on data in an accurate and reliable manner
* Work with third parties for new installations, upgrades, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and general advice and guidance as required to ensure all delivered services meet requirements
* Respond to support escalations from DevOps and technical colleagues, providing specific expertise for troubleshooting as required
* Build strong relationships in the business to understand business objectives, specific data requirements and how the data you maintain adds value to the business
* Controlled execution of data management tasks
* Configure, maintenance and get maximum value from proactive monitoring using tools such as Redgate and New Relic
* Population and maintenance of software development lifecycle environments
Who are we looking for?
* Experience with tools such as SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL
* Proven ability as a Database Administrator in a similar role
* Strong operations experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis
* Experience of performance tuning and optimizing
* Strong proficiency with Microsoft T-SQL
* Excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
* Experience using native and third-party performance monitoring tools such as Redgate SQL Monitor and New Relic
