Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a pioneering and sustainable rural estate in Norfolk. The company, known for land and property activities, seeks a professional to manage building projects and heritage preservation. The Senior Building Surveyor will oversee projects from start to finish, working with clients and contractors, focusing on heritage and sustainability.
Responsibilities include:
* Advising on heritage buildings, including Holkham Hall, providing expertise on building pathology.
* Serving as the main contact for statutory bodies like Historic England.
* Managing projects, including specifications, tenders, and supervision.
* Ensuring health and safety compliance and maintaining quality standards.
* Reporting progress, managing risks, and setting KPIs.
Skills and Attributes:
* Chartered Building Surveyor with experience in various building types.
* Strong knowledge of heritage and listed buildings, with project management skills.
* Excellent communication and IT skills.
* Stakeholder management and leadership abilities.
* Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
