Electrical Project Engineer | Power & Renewables | Inverurie If you’re an electrical engineer who wants to see your work go from design through to energisation on real projects, this is worth a look. This role sits at the centre of delivery. You’ll be involved from early design and tender stages right through to installation, commissioning and handover. It’s hands-on, fast-moving, and focused on getting things built properly. What you’ll get Long-term pipeline of projects across power, renewables and critical infrastructure Exposure to HV systems up to 400kV and complex M&E installations The chance to work across the full project lifecycle, not just one phase A team that values practical engineers who can solve problems, not just follow process Clear progression into more senior technical or project roles What you’ll be doing Produce and update electrical design drawings across HV and LV systems Support projects from tender stage through to construction and commissioning Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors and internal teams on technical and commercial issues Prepare technical documentation including O&M manuals, test packs and as-built drawings Manage RFIs and ensure design intent is carried through to site Support procurement of materials and equipment, including requisitions and tracking deliveries Assist with project planning, scheduling and material take-offs Contribute to method statements, risk assessments and quality processes Carry out inspections, snagging and support commissioning activities Ensure all work aligns with current electrical standards and safety requirements What this role suits This will suit someone who: Has a strong grounding in HV/MV electrical systems within industrial, infrastructure or energy projects Enjoys being close to delivery, not just sat in design Can coordinate across teams and keep things moving Is comfortable working across multiple project stages, not just one discipline Wants to build experience on more complex, high-value projects What you’ll need Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar Around 2 years’ experience in electrical design or project engineering Understanding of HV/MV systems and how they’re applied in real projects Experience working on industrial, infrastructure or energy projects Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders Organised, detail-focused and able to manage competing priorities Why this role is different You won’t be siloed into one part of a project.
