Base pay range
Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN / SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Somerset /Bristol.
Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support.
We are on a mission to transform the quality of education provided to young people with SEN (Special Education Needs) / SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH needs (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). We are increasing support for children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN / SEND tutors with a genuine passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Somerset /Bristol.
At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise the standard of educational support offered to vulnerable young people in the UK. We keep the team around the child, and you will be supported throughout every placement by our team of SEN / SEND Support Specialists.
This role is perfect for qualified SEN / SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed manner, to increase engagement and improve their educational outlook.

The SEN / SEND Tutor Role
* Providing Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Supporting young people referred by local authorities and schools in their educational and social-emotional journey
* Delivering flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
SEN / SEND Tutor Tasks and Responsibilities
* Planning each teaching, tutoring, and mentoring session
* Providing holistic and engaging sessions tailored to meet individual needs and support progress
* Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other needs
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available at cost)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK, based in the UK, even for remote assignments

SEN / SEND Tutor Employment Status
* Engage as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Paid via PAYE, through a contract for service
* No set amount of work or expenses coverage
* Insurance covers your work for us
* This is not a self-employed position
