FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (GARAGE EQUIPMENT) Location: On the road within Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and surrounding areas. Specialism: Equipment Servicing and Breakdowns Pay: £28,000 to £39,000 basic plus optional overtime worth potentially up to a further £10,000 p.a. We are looking for a self-motivated team player who can help us on this journey, capable of showing initiative and contributing effectively. As a home-based Field Service Engineer covering Plymouth, Devon, Cornwall and surrounding areas, you will be responsible for repairing a wide range of electro-mechanical garage equipment at customers’ sites together with some servicing and routine maintenance work. Key Responsibilities: · Carry out diagnostics/repair on a wide range of garage equipment products including vehicle lifts, wheel & tyre, brake testers, gas analysers and smoke testers etc · Maintenance and service work as required · Completion and submission of accurate paperwork, adhering to health and safety regulations and complying with our quality system · Ensuring control of your van stock to meet 'first time fix' targets · Satisfying customer needs and exceeding their expectations · The continued development of skills to ensure that all work is completed to a high standard · Prepared for occasional overnight stays away from home (if required) · Prepared to work overtime when required (which is paid) Qualifications & Requirements: · Good level of education and training, ideally with relevant trade qualifications in garage equipment repair / servicing or a related discipline · Or; experience working with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment with transferable skills · Working knowledge and experience of activities in a field service environment · Able to understand and follow procedures and work instructions, working to specified standards. · Self-motivated and customer focussed with a positive “can do” attitude towards problems · Full UK driving licence is essential – ideally ‘clean’ Benefits: · Company van, PPE, phone, 'tablet' and tools are all provided · Accommodation and meal allowance if staying away overnight · ‘Medicash’ Healthcare Plan · 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 26 days after 5 years of service. · Company sick pay (increasing with service) · Company pension scheme · Life Assurance Scheme (increasing with service) · Bereavement leave · New engineer referral programme paying up to £2,500 per referral · Continuous professional development via our dedicated training centre
