Job Summary
The Dispatch Operative will be responsible for the Goods in & out department within the factory. The role will involve picking and packing completed orders and working closely with the administration office to organise couriers and deliveries. This role involves loading and unloading of delivery vehicles via the use of a folk lift truck, stock control of consumable items and picking then packing customers orders that are ready for dispatch. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities
* Picking and packing customers orders that are ready for dispatch.
* Loading / unloading delivery vehicles via using a counter balance folk lift truck.
* Stock control on consumable items (packaging etc).
* Working closely with the administration office to arrange couriers.
* Visual inspection of manufactured goods before packing and reporting to the production manager any anomalies or defects.
* Control the stock levels and distribution of any PPE to the work force.
* Adherence to all Health and safety requirements.
* Manage and conduct good house keeping duties in the work area.
Training and Development:
* Participate in ongoing product training and product knowledge.
* Best practices and improvement projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Counter Balance Folk Lift Truck licence (additional training can be provided for the Reach type folk lift trucks)
* Experience:
* 1-2 years of experience in dispatch / warehouse environment, with an emphasis on manufacturing.
* Skills:
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attributes:

* Eager to learn and grow within the company.

Compensation and Benefits
* £12.55p per hour (additional pay rise pending).
* Company pension.
* 13 weeks Sick pay (after 2 years service).

Hours
* Monday ~ Thursday 07:30 to 16:30
* Friday 07:30 to 12:20
