On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a
HR Project Manager
for a
contracting position
initially running to the end of 2025 (multi-year programme with scope for extension). The team work on a
remote-first
basis with occasional requirement to travel the
Edinburgh
office. Purpose of the Role: This role sits within the Talent Attraction and Employer Brand team of a major UK Retail Bank, supporting the delivery of a large-scale HR technology transformation programme. The business is implementing Beamery - a next- CRM and talent platform - which will sit in front of Workday. This will help to shape a more skills-based hiring strategy and overhaul how talent is identified, engaged, and managed by creating a skills-based taxonomy for matching candidate competencies to roles. The programme touches on multiple workstreams (CRM, skills strategy, data integration, AI, governance) and the Project Manager will sit across all areas, ensuring smooth delivery and strong cross-functional collaboration between tech, HR, data, and policy teams. They do not require a seasoned technologist for this role, nor do they require prior financial services experience; general competence in project management alongside prior HR system implementations experience would be fantastic. Responsibilities of the role: Lead project planning, status tracking, and issue/risk escalation across multiple workstreams
Drive weekly core programme meetings and facilitate agenda setting, action tracking, and follow-up
Use project tools (Planview, Jira, spreadsheets) to monitor delivery and keep senior sponsors informed
Liaise regularly with Beamery (vendor) and internal technology teams on integrations with Workday
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders in HR, Legal, Privacy, and Risk, particularly around AI compliance and model risk
Support fortnightly sponsor reporting - gathering inputs, structuring content, and preparing updates
Drive workshop design and delivery when required (e.g. around scoping, skills, design decisions)
Help shape more integrated workstreams as the programme moves into a more interconnected phase
What we require from the candidate: Proven experience as a Project Manager in
HR systems implementations
on behalf of large organisations
Track record of delivering projects in the
ATS / recruitment / CRM space
Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills - comfortable driving meetings, owning agendas, following up on actions
Ability to work across technical and non-technical teams - bridging HR, IT, and governance stakeholders
Comfortable with
tools like Planview or Jira,
for project tracking and reporting
Familiarity with
skills frameworks or talent strategy
is a bonus (not essential)
