Audio Visual Engineer - Field
The Role
The AV Engineer will be responsible for responding to service call jobs and installing AV, sound and lighting systems on site.
Reports To
The AV Engineer will report to the Director.
Responsibilities and Duties
Happy Customers
· Fault finding and rectifying issues with AV, sound and lighting systems at the client site
· First and second fix AV, sound and lighting systems
Happy Colleagues
· Completion of service reports and ticket management on company systems
· Advising the team on parts needed to complete works on site
Make a Commercial Contribution
· Be an ambassador of the Spotlight Sound brand, by communicating well with current and prospective customers
General Responsibilities and Duties
· Being knowledgeable about the services offered by Spotlight Sound
· Maintaining a positive attitude that inspires co-workers and clients to grow the business
Person Specification
We are looking for applicants who are motivated, confident, and have pride in what they do.
The successful candidate must be:
· An excellent communicator
· Have previous experience in a similar role
· Be familiar with AV, sound, lighting and video equipment
· Be familiar with specifying what equipment and labour is needed for a successful installation.
· Show attention to detail and good time management skills
· Be willing to travel and stay away from time to time.
· Be presentable, polite and punctual
Skills and Qualifications
Essential
· Have at least 3 years' experience onsite with audio visual, sound and lighting service / installation
· Familiar with 100V and low impedance sound systems
· Familiar with audio signal chains
· Familiar with DMX signal chains
· Familiar with analogue and HDBaseT video systems
· Full UK drivers license
Desirable
· Experience with SoundWeb control systems
· Experience with ShowCAD control systems
Hours of Work
Standard working hours will be 37.5 per week, with time off in lieu for additional hours worked. In very busy periods it may not be possible for time off to be taken in lieu in any given month, therefore overtime may be paid where necessary.
