We are seeking a Lecturer in Accounting to join our team.
In this role you will, provide inspirational teaching on a range of Accounting subjects Level 2-4 programmes with strong achievement you will also undertake other duties associated with the role of a Band 2 Course Leader.
Job title: Lecturer in Accounting Full time About the role: Teach effectively across a range of Accounting and Business courses at FE level across the Area This includes designing schemes of work/learning plan, session plans, assessment material, preparation of resources, delivery, marking and student interviewing/guidance Carry out appropriate assessment activities including marking learners' work, designing and setting assessed work.
Monitor standards of learners' work against awarding body guidelines using effective tracking systems and working closely with the lead internal moderator/co-ordinator to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Clear expectations are given to learners.
Provide effective personal and academic tutorial support for learner groups through Individual Learning Plans as well as providing support and guidance to learners during teaching, delivering, tutorials and assessment activities.
Essential Experience: Experience of delivering Accounting related subjects reflecting recent changes in industry and including the use of modern technology Experience of managing and motivating young learners (Secondary/16-19yr olds) Experience of undertaking a pastoral role and effectively using individual learning planning to raise achievement Essential Qualifications: Education to level 5 or above and/or a professional qualification (e.g.
AAT L4) in relevant subject area or equivalent Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English Language and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above or equivalent Level 5 Teaching Qualification / completing within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course.
