Job Title: Technical Project Manager (L3 Infrastructure)
Location: Cardiff (5 days onsite)
Contract Duration: Until 31st March 2026 (with potential extension into mid-April and beyond)
Role Overview
This Cardiff-based role is part of a large-scale business separation programme, focused on migrating systems, data, and infrastructure to a new standalone environment. You’ll act as the on-site technical liaison, coordinating with remote teams and managing the execution of migration and BAU activities at the site level.
This is a fully onsite role combining L3 infrastructure engineering with project management. You’ll be the go-to person for technical escalations, project planning, and stakeholder coordination—especially as the site prepares for key cutover events in Q1 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery & Site-Level Execution
Own and manage technical readiness for the Cardiff site ahead of major cutovers (e.g., network migration, application migration, storage gateway transitions)
Act as the technical escalation point for BAU issues, resolving to L3 standard
Coordinate with specialist teams (network, compute, endpoint, M365, security) to ensure site-level execution aligns with broader programme plans
Understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable project plans
Project Management
Develop and maintain detailed project and programme plans across multiple migration streams
Track progress using tools like burndown charts (e.g., endpoint migration of 400+ PCs)
Manage ticket allocation, workload tracking, and stakeholder reporting
Liaise with remote delivery managers and technical teams to ensure alignment and timely executionRequired Skills & Experience
Technical (L3 Infrastructure)
Proven experience in desktop deployments (Windows 10/11)
Strong troubleshooting skills for PC and endpoint issues to L3 standard
Hands-on experience with on-prem infrastructure (not cloud-focused)
Familiarity with SAP ERP migrations, storage gateways, compute services, and shared drives
Project Management
Experience coordinating with cross-functional technical teams
Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
Familiarity with PMO practices, ITIL, and Agile methodologies
Ability to operate independently in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment with no predefined playbookIdeal Candidate Profile

Strong technical grounding with the ability to lead and manage infrastructure migrations
Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to bridge gaps between corporate teams and site-level execution
Previous experience in separation programmes or large-scale IT transformations is a plus
