We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stockperson to join our team and contribute to the daily care and management of our dairy herd of over 350 cows. This is a key role within our farm operation, requiring a strong commitment to animal welfare, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the health, welfare, and productivity of the herd, working closely with the Farm Manager and wider team to maintain high standards across all aspects of farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Main Duties and Responsibility
* Milking cows using modern milking systems
* Monitor the health and welfare of livestock, administering basic treatments as required
* Feeding and bedding livestock
* Cleaning and maintaining 7 Lely milking robots and equipment
* Comfortable using and interpreting data from automated systems
* Assisting with calving and youngstock care
* General farm duties and machinery operation
Experience and Qualifications
* Previous experience in stock farming
* A genuine interest in livestock and agriculture
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence (tractor experience advantageous)
