Project Manager

Job Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of our ERP implementation project. This role requires a proven track record of managing end‑to‑end ERP deployments, strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work effectively within fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environments typical of small and medium‑sized enterprises.

Whilst initially a fixed term contract, we would look to offer a permanent role to the right person managing future projects across both IT and other functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead full lifecycle ERP implementation project
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
* Facilitate workshops to capture business processes, identify gaps, and translate requirements into actionable project deliverables.
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams including internal specialists, external vendors, and SME client stakeholders.
* Drive effective change management, ensuring users are engaged, trained, and supported throughout the transition.
* Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
* Ensure high‑quality documentation including project charters, status reports, change management and training materials.
* Champion best‑practice project governance and continuous improvement across all ERP delivery activities.
* Build strong relationships with SME clients, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience and Skills Required:

* Demonstrable experience delivering successful ERP implementations within SME environments.
* Strong understanding of SME business processes across finance, operations, supply chain, and/or manufacturing.
* Hands‑on experience with one or more ERP platforms (Acumatica would be a bonus)
* Excellent project management skills, ideally supported by a recognised qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile).
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining clarity and control.
* Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
* Comfortable working in environments with limited internal resources, requiring adaptability and a pragmatic approach.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract, Temp to perm

Contract length: 9 months

Pay: From £60,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Stroud GL6 8GA: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

* ERP Implementation: 3 years (required)
