We are currently looking for people who have previously worked as Mechanical Fitters, Mechanical Technicians, Engineering Fitters or Mechanical Engineers to join a well‑established engineering company. Our client has over 20 years experience producing premium, durable products that are placed within manufacturing and logistics facilities to ensure continuous workflow.

To be considered for this role you are required to be a UK resident with right to work documentation in place and be within a commutable distance of Corby.

The Role

• To carry out heavy mechanical fitting and mechanical assembly work on Boom conveyor systems
• Work from diagrams and technical specifications
• Check quality at every stage, raising any issues before products move forward
• Complete all relevant paperwork & inspection records
• Keep your work area safe, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety standards
• Working as part of a very busy team where teamwork is key to productivity.

Experience and Skills

• Have previously worked within a mechanical engineering or mechanical fitting role.
• Be able to read technical diagrams and blueprints
• Be able to assemble frames, gears, bearings, brackets, and sub‑assemblies
• Use hand tools and power tools (wrenches, drills, torque tools, etc.)
• Align, fit, and secure parts using bolts, screws, rivets, or adhesives
• Perform basic machining or finishing (deburring, drilling, tapping)
