We are seeking to appoint an experienced Catering Assistant to work in our very busy school kitchen. This person will be able to work as part of a team within the school and help provide high quality fresh and nutritious meals to the pupils and staff. Shift Pattern: Term-Time: Monday to Friday - Sessions run from 10am to 2pm daily The Successful Candidate will: Work well in a team Engage positively with staff and pupils Have good communication skills Show commitment to professional development Comply with company polices and regulations in respect of health and safety to ensure the highest standards of kitchen practice and hygiene Adapt to change and take on different tasks as and when required Have the ability to communicate well with young children Main Duties: Working closely with the head cook to ensure the children receive a nutritionally balanced meal every day Serving meals General kitchen and dining room duties Undertake moderate lifting duties i.e. food delivery’s/dining room furniture Assist in the preparation of tasty meals Washing up and cleaning to a high standard Other areas of responsibility The post holder will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people, and follow school policies and the staff code of conduct. About our school: Beaver Road is a larger than average, diverse primary school situated in the heart of Didsbury Village. In September 2018, we began our expansion from three forms of entry to five forms of entry across two school sites. The school currently has over 1000 children from 3 to 11 years of age.
