Lead Cleaners (2 positions)
Location: Canford Heath Junior School, Poole
Salary: Grade A (Point 2) £25,484 pro‑rata (£7,661.24 PA – 12.5 hours per week, 3 pm–5.30 pm, Monday‑Friday)
Vacancy Type: Permanent position at Canford Heath Infant School (immediate start) and temporary maternity cover role at Canford Heath Junior School (beginning in June).

Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard.
* Perform regular cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, polishing floors and sanitising surfaces.
* Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
* Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies.
* Coordinate and participate in deep‑cleaning tasks during school holidays, ensuring thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, toilets and other facilities.
* Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used effectively and are well‑maintained.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
* Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Headteacher.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a school or similar environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and moving equipment.
* Flexibility to work additional hours during school holidays for deep cleaning.
