Customer Assistant - Warehouse Operative - Kingsley Village
Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in Operations, where you’ll play a vital role in keeping our store running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be responsible for accepting deliveries, unpacking goods, and preparing crates to ensure our shop floor is always fully stocked. Through your efficiency and agility, you'll help create a seamless shopping experience by keeping products available for our customers at all times. You’ll be ready to roll up your sleeves and keep things moving, using our in-store systems and tools to track deliveries and manage stock. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the store to support an inclusive environment and adapt to changing store needs. Being digitally confident is essential.
Work Pattern
* Week 1: Sunday 06:00-10:00, Wednesday 06:00-10:00, Thursday 06:00-10:00, Friday 06:00-10:00
* Week 2: Monday 06:00-10:00, Tuesday 06:00-10:00, Friday 06:00-10:00, Saturday 06:00-10:00
Note: This role includes operating mechanical equipment as relevant to the job. This means we can’t consider applications from anyone under the age of 18, in compliance with health and safety legislation.

* Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points
* Deliver high standards of presentation, availability and cleanliness
* Utilise digital tools and communication channels to perform the role
* Share customer and colleague feedback to drive improvements
* Share knowledge with colleagues to support skill and confidence building
* Own learning and development; access digital learning solutions
* Know daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
* Maintain strong product knowledge to sell and recommend products and services
* Engage with customers to understand needs and make recommendations
* Understand store priorities and their part to play
* Complete tasks with pace and in line with SOPs
* Minimise costs and waste through good process practice
* Follow safe and legal working practices
