Principal Policy Planner Remote Contract Opportunity Are you a Principal Policy Planner ready for your next challenge? I’m working with a local authority in the South East of England that is looking for experienced support within their Planning Policy Team to help progress a new Local Plan for a beautiful rural district. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of the area, working on plan-making and supporting the authority as they move through the Local Plan process. The role will involve: Supporting the preparation and progression of a new Local Plan Contributing to evidence base work and policy development Assisting with consultation and stakeholder engagement Working collaboratively with officers, consultants and stakeholders to keep policy workstreams moving forward The ideal candidate will have: Strong understanding of plan-making and the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) Experience supporting Regulation 18 and/or Regulation 19 stages of Local Plan preparation Experience working within local authority Planning Policy teams Initial 6-month contract Happy to look at Senior Officer level High likelihood of extension (other interims have been continuously extended) Competitive day rate – dependent on experience Remote working Interested?
