Job Description – Office/Accounts Assistant
Hours: Negotiable – Between Monday to Friday; 09.00 – Minimum 22 hours per week
Salary: £23,000 pro rata
Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
Holiday: 22 days (pro-rata) per year for first 3 years, rising in stages to 26 days, plus statutory holidays.
Additional: After 3 month's continuous service, the successful candidate can have their vehicle repaired at our Centre at cost price + 10%

Key job tasks:
· Company credit cards – Maintaining all the company cards administration and reconciling the to ensure all payments are supported by an invoice.
· Petty cash – Daily maintenance of the petty cash spend across all the centres, reconciling all the centres accounts and liaising with accounts receivable for allocations of funds.
· Supporting with payments and queries with our Landlords.
· Arranging Hotel and travel arrangements for staff training.
· Purchase ledger – Maintaining a number of company accounts.
· Part of the Reception rota (answering calls and letting in visitors).
· Ordering weekly office shopping supplies.
· Cover and support for other team members.
· Other ad hoc duties.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach to tasks and be able to manage their own workload, be an excellent communicator with proven experience of working in a busy office environment.
The successful candidate will be part of a small team, but should be equally happy working on their own.
Candidates should be proficient in Word and Excel experience is preferable.
After probation the candidate will be entitled to work one day a week from home.
The role reports directly to the Depot and Head office Co-ordinator Team Leader.
