We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to join the Shield Team, working directly with families and young people to prevent child exploitation, reduce harms, and support safer transitions into adulthood.
You will deliver intensive, relationship-based preventative and therapeutic support to families, children, and young people aged 0–25. A key part of the role will involve supporting care-experienced young people and young adults as they transition into adulthood and face increased harms associated with exploitation.
You will work closely with families, professionals, and partner agencies to reduce harms associated with exploitation, crime, and anti-social behaviour.
A central aspect of this role is preventing exploitation, including county lines, youth violence, and other harms. You will deliver interventions and co-create focused family plans to prevent exploitation, build resilience, reduce harm, and empower families and young people to make positive changes.
This role requires flexibility, including evening and weekend availability.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a lasting difference to the lives of children, young people, and their families. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact through partnership working and therapeutic practice, we encourage you to apply.
Interviews will be held on Friday, 1st August 2025.
We consider requests for flexible working, including options like flexible hours, working from home, compressed hours, and part-time work.
We promote applications from all sections of the community, especially encouraging candidates from Black and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and those with disabilities, recognizing their underrepresentation.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy earlier if sufficient applications are received.
