Salary: £29,971 - £33,622 per annum
The Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Chaplain at Saint Paul's Catholic High School. This will be on a permanent full time (35 hours per week) and term time only basis plus 2 weeks over 41 weeks per year.
The Trust, in conjunction with the Local Governing Bodies, is seeking to appoint a committed and practising Catholic who has the experience, motivation, enthusiasm and passion to provide rich opportunities for our young people to encounter God and to deepen their relationship with Him.
Candidates will also have the skill set to work in partnership with the Headteachers of each school.
Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust is a forward thinking and expanding multi-academy Trust currently comprising of 15 schools across Manchester, Stockport, Trafford and Tameside.
The successful applicant will have opportunities to work and build relationships across these boroughs and be part of shaping the vision for Catholic Life in our schools.
The main duties of the role are:
* To provide spiritual and pastoral support to young people across both schools, providing opportunities for reflection.
* To develop and enhance the spiritual, liturgical and prayer life of the schools.
* To organise and provide opportunities for worship, school liturgies and retreats e.g. Prepare and lead Celebration of the Word for different year groups and develop, organise and lead a retreat programme for school and help support, organise and lead on variety of pilgrimages e.g. Savio House
* To develop links between the schools, the Diocese, local parishes and the wider community and organising charity events, overseeing and promoting charitable initiatives within the school, and actively embedding the principles of Catholic Social Teaching into the school environment to make them visible and impactful.
