Behaviour Mentor - PRU Setting - Islington, N1 Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Islington to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support students with SEMH and challenging behaviour. This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping disengaged young people re-engage with learning, offering both classroom-based and outreach support. Key Responsibilities: * Provide targeted 1:1 and small group behaviour support to students across KS3-KS4 * Support teaching staff within lessons to manage behaviour and keep students engaged * Deliver de-escalation strategies and behaviour interventions both in and out of class * Work closely with the pastoral team and SLT to implement behaviour plans and support strategies * Build positive, trusting relationships with young people facing significant barriers to education * Contribute to behaviour reviews and planning meetings Ideal Candidate Will Have: * Experience working in a PRU, alternative provision, or with students who have SEMH needs * Strong behaviour management and conflict resolution skills * A calm, assertive, and empathetic approach to working with vulnerable young people * A background in youth work, psychology, education or related field * Resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for student wellbeing Location & Transport - Islington, London (N1): * Accessible via Angel (Northern Line) and Highbury & ...
