Role: Assistant Commercial Manager Contract Length: 3 months initially with a possibility of an extension Location: Hybrid/Croydon – 2-3 days per week on site (Mondays and Wednesday) IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £361.17 per day Spinwell is recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL MANAGER Provide a professional compliant procurement service for allocated user stakeholders within the client to achieve value for money and high stakeholder satisfaction Maintain accurate auditable records of procurement process compliance Assist reviews/negotiations of contracts during their term to ensure continued fitness for purpose with respect to scope, budget and performance change, and be responsible for change requests Plan and engage with users to understand contract specifications Conduct procurement process in a collaborative manner (advice, tendering, evaluation award & contract management) efficiently using preferred technology-based methods SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE ASSISTANT COMMERCIAL MANAGER Qualified (or part qualified) to CIPS / RICS professional standard or equivalent. Detailed knowledge and understanding of the procurement act 2023 and proven experience in applying these to day-to-day procurement activities and documentation. Computer literate and experienced in use of standard spreadsheet and WP software packages Ability to communicate effectively through presentations and written reports at all levels. Proven resource management and skills to be able to prioritise work in a highly pressurised environment. Experience in pre and post contract management Experience in preparing and reviewing procurement documentation and commercial schedules.
