Job Advert: SEND Primary Teacher - Coventry
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Primary Teacher to join our team in Coventry. This role is ideal for an experienced teacher with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for our students, helping them to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of children with SEND.
Create a safe and engaging classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and learning.
Work closely with support staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) for students and track progress towards their goals.
Provide emotional and behavioural support to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
Participate in regular staff meetings and training to stay updated on best practices in SEND education.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching in primary education, ideally within SEND settings.
A strong understanding of a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students with additional needs.
The ability to adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning styles of SEND students.
