Here, we specialize in crafting made-to-order mechanical components, including customized fluid-film bearings, seals, and isolators for clients around the globe.
Your Role
As the Materials & Logistics Team Leader, you will be the backbone of our Goods Inward and Shipping Functions. Your mission? To ensure that all incoming materials and outgoing finished goods are processed accurately, safely, and on time. You will be the key point of contact for our customers, ensuring a seamless service delivery experience.
What You Will Bring
* Expertise in International Shipping: Knowledge of shipping protocols, Incoterms, commodity codes, and tariff classifications.
* Documentation Management: Proven ability to handle complex import/export documentation and customs entries.
* Supervisory Experience: Experience in managing the end-to-end "Goods In" process with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
* Team Leadership: Skills in prioritizing workloads, managing team performance, and fostering a positive culture.
* Safety Commitment: Dedication to maintaining a safe working environment through adherence to HSE policies and standards.
* KPI Development: Ability to develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators and participate in audits for compliance.
What You Will Do
Goods In
* Oversee the receipt, inspection, and booking-in of all incoming materials.
* Ensure deliveries match purchase orders and manage any discrepancies.
* Control storage, labeling, and material flow within the stores area.
Shipping
* Manage transport logistics using air, road, or sea freight.
* Process all import/export documents and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
* Communicate effectively with customers and third parties to meet delivery targets.
Stock Control & Inventory Accuracy
* Maintain accurate stock records and lead cycle counts.
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies while ensuring FIFO standards are upheld.
General Leadership
* Participate in audits to ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
* Foster a motivating team environment and prioritize daily workloads.
* Set goals for team members and provide regular feedback and support.
