About the Company
A well-established building services contractor with an annual turnover of approximately £18 million is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager to support its growing Maintenance Division.
The company is a recognised specialist in BMS, delivering maintenance, repair, and refurbishment solutions across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and client satisfaction, the business continues to expand its service offering and long-term maintenance portfolio.

The Role
* Managing all commercial aspects of maintenance contracts, from tendering and cost planning through to final accounts.
* Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating bills of quantities, variations, and contract amendments.
* Administering contracts in accordance with NEC, JCT, and other standard forms.
* Providing commercial reporting, forecasting, and risk management directly to the Managing Director.
* Implementing effective cost control and margin protection strategies.
* Working collaboratively with operational and project teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
* Leading and mentoring junior commercial staff.
* Representing the company in client meetings, valuations, and claims.
* Driving continuous improvement in commercial systems, processes, and governance.
Candidate Profile
* Significant experience in a commercial role, ideally within maintenance, facilities management, or building services.
* Proven ability to manage multiple maintenance or framework agreements simultaneously.
* Excellent commercial acumen, cost forecasting, negotiation, and final account experience.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in estimating or commercial management software.
