Great Yorkshire Event Centre, a leading venue for large scale events on the edge of Harrogate, we are established, and successful event venue located on the Great Yorkshire Showground. We sit alongside Pavilions of Harrogate, both venues boast excellent location, facilities, and dedicated teams.
Purpose of the Role
To work as part of the operations team in our event venue to ensure the continued success of the organisation. Working closely with the Senior Event Manager and Deputy Event Managers to deliver safe and successful events, under the leadership of the Venue Manager. Working hours; 5 days, 37.5 hours per week Monday-Sunday

Key Responsibilities
To be an integral part of the Events team.
Contribute to the overall organisational goals.
Display the PROUD values of the Society.
Support the operations team in the successful delivery of events.
Support and mentor the Deputy Event Managers.
Manage all Contractors, Sub-Contractors and Casual Staff as required by events.
Ensure the venue is excellently presented assisting with the cleaning of the venue, including exhibition floors, and any other areas so they meet the company standards for cleanliness.
Ensure the venue is prepared for arrival according to the client's specification, setting out furniture, installing electrical / comms. cables and AV equipment etc. This is a hands-on role.
Support the sales team with showrounds and proposals by providing operational knowledge and guidance.
Work as part of the Events Team to ensure efficiency and control costs to deliver expected margins.
Ensure the Health & Safety Standards are continually monitored and where possible improved.
Support the Venue Manager with onboarding, training and development of team members.
Encourage a one team environment.
Identify opportunities to improve operational performance and visitor experience.
Ensure the service of alcohol complies with our Premises Licence and is delivered to the expected standard.
