Group Financial Accountant – Food Manufacturing
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday
A leading food manufacturing business is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join its finance team. This is a pivotal role supporting the senior management team with accurate reporting, analysis, and financial control across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare timely, accurate financial statements in line with UK GAAP.
* Manage year-end audits and liaise with external auditors.
* Produce financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making.
* Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
* Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
* Develop and enhance financial controls, processes, and systems.
* Support subsidiaries with accounting queries and guidance.
Requirements
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial reporting standards.
* Proven experience in audit management, reporting, and financial analysis.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in the food or FMCG sector is advantageous.
