About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and inclusive nursery setting. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, where you will be working closely with children, including those with special educational needs such as ASD and ADHD, to provide tailored 1:1 support and ensure they reach their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, and other SEN, and will have a strong ability to provide 1:1 support. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other professionals to implement personalised strategies that enhance the children's learning experience.

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 support for children with ASD and ADHD, adapting strategies to meet individual needs
Support children in developing social, emotional, and behavioural skills
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering personalised learning activities to support SEN children’s academic and developmental progress
Help to create a calm, structured, and supportive environment that meets the needs of each child
Collaborate closely with the SENCo, teachers, and external professionals to monitor, assess, and review progress
Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour for children with ADHD
Assist with general classroom management and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
Encourage children’s independence, helping them to develop self-regulation skills and confidence in their learning
Requirements
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Strong experience working 1:1 with children with ASD and ADHD, particularly within a nursery or early years setting
Ability to implement individualised learning and behaviour management plans
Understanding of how to support children with emotional and behavioural challenges
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
A positive and proactive approach to supporting children’s learning and development
