ICT / Computer Science Teacher - Secondary School

We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable ICT / Computer Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Southend-on-Sea on a full-time contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher to make a positive impact in a supportive school environment.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality ICT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will plan and teach engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire students and support their academic progress.
Key responsibilities include:
Teaching ICT and Computer Science, including coding, programming and digital literacy
Planning lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Managing classroom behaviour effectively
Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
✅ Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching ICT and/or Computer Science at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
A professional, reliable and adaptable approach
