FLT Counterbalance DriverLocation: Witney, OX29Pay Rate: £13.50 per hourContract: Temporary ongoing, with permanent opportunities availableGap Personnel is currently recruiting an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established and supportive team based in Witney (OX29). This role plays a key part in the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring stock is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently.You'll be working in a safety-focused environment, supporting the smooth receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods while delivering excellent service to customers.Shift PatternMonday to FridayShifts vary between 6:00am – 6:00pmTypically 7:30am – 4:30pm (9-hour shift)1-hour unpaid break per day40 paid hours per weekFlexibility required, including a “work until all jobs are done” approachKey ResponsibilitiesAssist with unloading and loading vehicles at the branchReceive, check, and store goods accurately in designated warehouse/yard locationsPick and prepare customer orders in line with sales requirementsLoad customer orders safely onto delivery vehiclesSign for deliveries and report any stock damage or discrepanciesCarry out stock checks and maintain accurate stock recordsMaintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse/yard environmentPerform daily checks and basic maintenance on forklifts and handling equipmentPromote an “Everyone Safe, Every Day” safety cultureReport accidents, incidents, and near misses in line with H&S proceduresWhat We're Looking ForValid FLT Counterbalance Licence (essential)Previous warehouse or yard experience (advantageous)Good numeracy, attention to detail, and data accuracyBasic IT skillsStrong understanding of health & safety practicesFlexible, reliable, and proactive with a can-do attitudeGood communication skills and ability to work as part of a teamCustomer-focused approach and ability to work with minimal supervisionWhy Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term employment with a supportive and well-established business, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.Interested?
