Diamond Industrial is a leading distributor of engineering supplies, serving B2B clients across Scotland. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented Financial Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day financial operations.
The Role
As a Financial Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial processes, supporting the business with accurate reporting, and maintaining strong financial controls. Key Responsibilities:
* Processing invoices, payments, and expenses.
* Reconciling accounts and assisting with month-end processes.
* Managing supplier payments and customer credit control.
* Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting.
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities.
* Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to resolve finance-related queries.
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (preferred but not essential).
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or Business Central) and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
