Are you passionate about preventing hospital admissions and optimising functional performance for your patients in a fast-paced clinical area? This could be the role for you. The Humber Health Partnership are looking to recruit a Band 6 Senior Occupational Therapist for the Rapid Response team at Hull Royal Infirmary.
The post holder will work alongside colleagues to support the assessment of need across a range of clinical conditions with varying degrees of complexity. As a skilled therapist you will have direct input into the assessment and treatment of patients, delivering evidence based interventions to facilitate recovery, prevent deconditioning, promote well being and optimise independent functioning as far as reasonably possible in all areas of life; with a focus on facilitating timely discharges and preventing hospital admissions in the most acute clinical areas in the Trust.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to rapid assessments and management of patients across a range of clinical conditions with varying complexity.
* Deliver evidence-based interventions to facilitate recovery, prevent deconditioning, promote wellbeing and optimise independent functioning.
* Support timely discharges and work to prevent hospital admissions in acute clinical areas.
* Work within a multi-disciplinary team, building partnerships with other agencies involved in patient care to identify and address immediate and ongoing needs.
* Contribute to the Ground Floor late shift rota until 8pm, utilising core assessment skills and positive risk taking to facilitate patient movement across the organisation.
* Assess in an effective and timely manner within a rapid-paced environment; enable personalised care, capacity assessments, cognitive assessments, manual handling and functional assessments.
* Support service planning, development and teaching; act as a role model for the team and promote high-quality care.
Qualifications
* At least 12 months UK experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist.
* Demonstrable sound clinical foundation in practice and readiness to progress to a Band 6 role.
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing work environments and work well within a team.
