Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate WOK Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen understanding of food safety standards. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
* Assist in the planning and development of new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible.
* Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during meal preparation and service.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction.
* Help train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Wok Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and food safety regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting.
* A passion for cooking and creativity in meal preparation, with an eye for presentation.
* Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
* Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential.
