Overview
Worcestershire County Council is hiring a Children\'s Social Worker - Family Front Door. This is a 37-hour per week, permanent role based at Wildwood, Worcester with a hybrid office and home-working arrangement. The role is within the Family Front Door team and involves processing referrals, analysing information from partner agencies, and making timely recommendations in line with Worcestershire\'s level of needs guidance.
Responsibilities
* Process referrals from partner agencies, parents and carers in a fast-paced environment.
* Analyse information and make appropriate recommendations in accordance with the Worcestershire level of needs guidance.
* Work within one of the three district areas (Redditch/Wychavon, Worcester/Malvern, Bromsgrove/Wyre Forest) to understand local services and build relationships with partner agencies.
* Join a team with a culture of learning, critical thinking and reflective practice; participate in regular supervision, manageable caseloads, and team meetings.
* Access the Social Work Academy for training and CPD opportunities to support career development.
Qualifications & Skills
* Minimum of two years post ASYE social work experience.
* Frontline experience working with children, young people and their families.
* Ability to engage effectively with families, gather information from multiple partner agencies, and make timely recommendations.
* Strong written and analytical skills.
