Yolk Recruitment are supporting a well-established law firm in their search for an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to join their growing Dispute Resolution team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-value litigation matters involving commercial and residential property, including landlord and tenant disputes, boundary issues and long leasehold matters.
You will be joining a supportive team of legal professionals and will play a key role in delivering clear and effective advice to clients across a broad range of contentious property matters. This position offers excellent development potential and the chance to handle a varied caseload involving both local and national clients.
This is what you will be doing:
As a Property Litigation Solicitor, your day to day duties will include:-
1. Manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters, including commercial lease renewals and dilapidation claims.
2. Advise landlords, tenants, developers, and property owners on disputes including trespass, nuisance, boundary and restrictive covenant issues.
3. Handle residential possession proceedings and provide advice in line with relevant housing legislation.
4. Work on residential long lease matters such as lease extensions, enfranchisement, and right to manage claims.
5. Collaborate closely with internal property teams and external stakeholders to secure the best outcome for clients.
The experience you will bring to the team:
You will bring the following experience to the Property Litigation team:-
6. You will be a Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 3 years' PQE in property litigation.
7. Experience in landlord and tenant disputes (commercial and residential) is essential.
8. Proven ability to deal with complex boundary and neighbour-related disputes.
9. Exposure to long residential lease work is desirable (training can be provided).
10. A confident communicator with strong negotiation skills and a client-focused approach.
