We are seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Data Administrator to join our GP Practice team. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and efficient management of patient data and supporting clinical teams with patient care. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing referrals, clinical coding, managing patient information requests, using reporting systems to monitor and manage patients with long‑term conditions, and speaking to patients to help them access NHS services and digital tools such as the NHS App.
Main duties of the job
Referral Management Pre‑pare and process patient referrals accurately using NHS e-Referral Service (eRS).
Clinical Coding Apply correct clinical codes to patient records in line with practice and NHS standards.
Data Management Maintain and update patient records securely and accurately within clinical systems.
Information Requests: Handle patient information requests (Subject Access Requests, insurance reports, etc.) in compliance with GDPR and confidentiality guidelines.
Reporting & Analytics Use reporting tools to identify and manage patients with specific conditions, supporting proactive care.
Patient Support Speak to patients and assist them in accessing NHS services and digital tools, including the NHS App.
Quality Assurance Ensure data integrity and compliance with NHS data standards and practice policies.

Experience
* Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare setting.
* Clinical Systems Experience: Proficiency in SystmOne and NHS e-Referral Service (eRS).
* Digital Skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills (Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Knowledge of QOF: Understanding of Quality and Outcomes Framework and its impact on patient care.
* Clinical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology and coding standards (Read/SNOMED).
* Digital Transformation Awareness: Understanding of NHS digital initiatives and tools, including the NHS App.
* Data Accuracy: High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to manage own workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines under pressure.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with patients and healthcare professionals.
