Salary: Market rate + bonus.

The Senior PMO Analyst Tooling Specialist is responsible for optimising the use of project portfolio management tools, with a primary focus on Planview Portfolios, Jira and M365, to support the efficient delivery of programmes and projects across the organisation. Acting as a centre of excellence, this role drives continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring tooling solutions evolve in line with strategic business goals and user needs.

Leveraging a deep understanding of PMO processes, portfolio management best practices, and enterprise tooling, you will maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot tooling configurations, supporting end-to-end project lifecycle management. You will be pivotal in translating business requirements into optimised system configurations and workflows, ensuring data integrity, usability, and actionable reporting outputs for decision-makers.

You will have a continuous improvement mindset, actively identifying opportunities to streamline processes, simplify user experiences, enhance automation, and improve data insights. You will collaborate closely with PMO Leads, Project Managers, IT, and senior stakeholders to embed a culture of operational excellence through fit-for-purpose tooling.

Success will be measured by increased adoption, improved data quality, enhanced reporting capabilities, and the delivery of continuous system improvements aligned to evolving organisational priorities. You will be critical in enabling the PMO to operate as a strategic partner, delivering value through effective portfolio visibility, control, and governance.

Responsibilities to include:

1. PPM Tool Management: Utilise Planview Portfolios (Enterprise1, Planview) to manage and optimise project portfolios, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting: Leverage Power BI to create insightful reports and dashboards that support decision-making processes.
3. Project Coordination: Collaborate with teams using Planview, JIRA, ServiceNow, SharePoint, and Teams to ensure seamless project execution and communication.
4. Quality Assurance: Implement and oversee QA processes to ensure the highest standards of project delivery.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements, design solutions, and drive projects to successful completion.
6. Problem Solving: Identify key issues, involve relevant parties, design solutions, and obtain buy-in to resolve challenges efficiently.
7. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Skills and Experience needed:

8. Knowledge of Planview Portfolios (Enterprise1, Planview).
9. Experience of other tools like Power BI, JIRA, Service Now, SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft Office.
10. Demonstrable experience in PPM tool software development for project management and Quality Assurance.
11. Adaptable to manage and address conflicting priorities.
12. High Analytical skills to interpret requirements and see these through to the final design solution.
13. Experience in identifying key issues, involve key parties, design solutions and obtain the buy-in and communicate effectively through to resolution.
14. Excellent communicator, who can engage with all levels of stakeholders across the department.
