This job involves driving staff and children from set locations around the regions in company vehicles. All work in and around the region is completed by friendly, reliable and responsible persons. Drivers are responsible for driving our wonderful team / residents from local towns into work at and out in the community. Our brilliant team work so hard to support our residents.
The ideal candidate will have clean driving record, a self-motivated attitude and the ability to work independently. It involves working as a team or individually to create the right environment to help the broader team fulfil its purpose. Drivers maintain a high standard in checking the vehicles are functional, safe and pleasant environments for people to travel.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To attend for work reliably and punctually.
2. To attend any training as required and take part in a positive manner.
3. To know where Cambian policies are kept and to be aware of and follow their contents.
4. To carry out all duties as instructed in a safe, timely, professional and courteous manner
5. To play a full part in building good relationships with other staff.
6. To carry out monitoring of maintenance requirements and provide admin team with records.
7. To take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and that of others in the vehicle.
8. To identify defects and damage and promptly report these to the site maintenance manager.
9. To deal with emergencies if they should occur while out on the road.
10. To ensure the security of the vehicles.
11. To carry out, as and when required, any additional duties and responsibilities as are reasonably compatible with this job description and deemed appropriate by your employer in the interests of the company. Examples, running errands, pickups, deliveries, house-keeping if no driving is necessary.

Knowledge
12. Knowledge of vehicle safety requirements within the law
13. Knowledge of general health and safety requirements in the workplace
Skills and Abilities
14. Ability to attend work punctually and reliably
15. Ability to follow rota
16. Ability to carry out basic maintenance checks and record findings
17. Ability to check tyre inflation pressures, oil levels, screen wash levels and keep within safe limits
18. Ability to maintain positive relationships with staff whilst working in a busy environment
19. Ability to follow laid down procedures as well as willingness to suggest changes to improve systems
20. Ability to lift and move objects in line with H&S guidelines
21. Ability to communicate effectively, including ability to complete reports

Qualifications
23. No criminal record including convictions, cautions, reprimands, etc which may be relevant to the safety and welfare of others
24. Current, clean driving licence to drive minibus as required

25. Experience of driving a variety of vehicles
