A brand new primary special needs (SEN) school based in Barking and Dagenham is seeking a Special Needs Teacher for an ASD/SLD Class, starting from September 2025.
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - Details:
* Teaching a mixed class, pupils with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties
* Pupils working at KS1 Levels of attainment - would suit a teacher with primary curriculum knowledge
* Curriculum with a particular focus on developing social and communication skills
* Work alongside two friendly and capable learning support assistants (LSAs)
* Utilize school facilities including sensory rooms and extensive outside areas
* Sociable staff team (regular Friday drinks!)
Special Needs Teacher - Barking and Dagenham - The successful applicant:
* Must be flexible and able to use their own initiative where required
* Experienced working in an SEN school or with children with ASD and SLD
* Have the right to work in the UK
* Hold a clear and up-to-date DBS
* Possess UK QTS or an overseas teaching qualification
Ideally, the successful candidate will have a proven track record in an SEN environment. However, the Headteacher will consider primary trained teachers with a passion for SEN, a proven teaching record, and a positive attitude.
