Overview
Join to apply for the AI Research Digital Audit Graduate Programme (Autumn 2026) - Leeds at ACCA Careers. The Digital Audit Team has launched a brand-new Research Lab focused on machine learning and emerging technologies. This three-year graduate programme is your launchpad to a meaningful career, a professional qualification, and a real impact on UK businesses.
Auditors are investigators, problem-solvers, and trusted advisers who ensure the numbers tell the real story. We’re looking for actively curious, purposefully driven, and candid but kind individuals who want to shape the future of business.
What You'll Do
The Research Lab three-year graduate programme is designed to give you experience in three key strands:
* Research – Ambitious, long-term research projects, creating novel mathematics that will underpin future audits.
* Consultations – Work with software developers to ensure mathematical best practice is embedded across our apps.
* Tools – Create mathematical solutions to common hurdles and build software libraries for developers.
You’ll learn by doing, with support along the way. In addition:
* Own the Tools strand by leading understanding of developer needs and designing smart mathematical solutions.
* Learn and apply Python to build well-documented, self-contained software libraries.
* Grow mathematical expertise by exploring new fields and staying current with cutting-edge research.
* Collaborate across the lab and help define the culture, practices, and direction of the Research Lab in its early stages.
* Make a real impact using mathematics to enhance audit quality and improve auditors’ working lives.
* Study with dedicated time and support toward your ACA qualification.
We are open to exploring other relevant qualifications or apprenticeships; typically graduates study towards a Level 7 Applied Data Analytics Apprenticeship.
Who We're Looking For
We want curious, analytical minds with a passion for technology. You don’t need all the answers now, but you should have the drive to seek them out.
* Skills: Basic understanding of Python, SQL, or R is helpful, but not essential—willingness to learn is key.
* Mindset: Enjoy solving complex problems, collaborate in small teams, and thrive in an innovative environment.
* Education: A mathematics degree is preferred, but we welcome diverse backgrounds with strong mathematical aptitude.
* We consider various entry routes and look for strengths and motivation that align with the role.
What You'll Get
Kickstart your career with a structured three-year programme offering real-world experience from day one:
* Fully funded professional qualification, with paid study leave and all course fees covered.
* Technology to support your learning and client work.
