The job itself
We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic kitchen assistant to join our catering team and work in a very busy school kitchen who produce an average of 450 meals per day. Duties will include food preparation, serving of food, washing up and cleaning the kitchen. You will need to be a good team player and enjoy interaction with our pupils.
Previous experience of working in a large kitchen is desirable, but full training and induction will be given to the right candidate. The ideal candidate will hold a qualification in food hygiene or be willing to attend training courses to gain the appropriate knowledge and skills. You will need to be flexible to ensure cover is available in the absence of colleagues.
