The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting and developing staff, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently, in accordance with company policies.
The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to maintain high operational standards while responding flexibly to changing business needs.
This role is initially offered as maternity cover until June 2027. For the right candidate, there may be scope for the position to become permanent if the postholder does not return, or for other opportunities within the business to be considered.
Duties
* Supervise day to day operations to ensure work is carried out effectively, safely and in line with company policies and procedures.
* Lead, motivate and support team members to maintain high standards of performance and professionalism.
* Ensure all staff clearly understand their roles, responsibilities and required procedures, including emergency and escalation protocols.
* Support the onboarding and training of new team members to ensure they are fully competent in their duties.
* Monitor individual and team performance and provide regular feedback where required.
* Carry out routine checks to confirm work quality, compliance, and operational standards.
* Promote a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture, ensuring procedures are followed and risks are reported and managed.
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and logs relating to operations, staff activity, and supervisory checks.
* Communicate effectively with management, colleagues, and clients to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal standards applicable to the role.
* Take responsibility for appropriate use and care of company equipment, vehicles, or resources under the supervisor's control.
* Respond effectively to operational issues or incidents, taking suitable action and escalating when necessary.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical solutions.
* Demonstrate flexibility in working patterns to meet operational demands, including covering absences when required.
* Act as a role model for company values, professional conduct, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
* Must be fit, healthy and enjoy walking in all weathers.
* Must hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a vehicle due to remote location.
* All security personnel must be fully trained and licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
