Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme (Stoke) who are looking for a part-time Teaching Assistant to start in September. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is considering a career in education but wanting to gain further experience within a mainstream school.
About the role:
* Start- date: 8th September
* Part-time (3 days a week tbc)
* Ongoing/long-term with potential opportunity for a permanent contract
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the Class Teacher in maintaining behaviour and identifying learning gaps. You will work across the schools KS2 department, providing 1-1 and small group intervention when necessary. This may include support with core subjects, as well as social and emotional intervention. Additionally, you will also oversea lunchtimes and break times, ensuring the schools behaviour policies are followed at all times.
What we’re looking for:
* Experience working with young people (in any setting)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
* Safeguarding training to be completed upon registering with Teaching Personnel
* A genuine passion for working with young students and improving their development
