Responsibilities


1. Plan and distribute workload across the team, paying appropriate attention to individual team member's current capability, to ensure the timely and profitablepletion of cases.
2. Provide updates and implement Keogh's policies, procedures and local initiatives, including actions arising from audits, to effectively inform and engage staff to perform to the desired standards.
3. Ensurepliance with benchmarks set by Keoghs and by clients whilst driving settlement and ensuring quality of delivery.
4. Provide supervision to team members and progress through thepetency framework to achieve a financial authority/increase in financial authority.
5. Identify and implement appropriate learning activities to ensure the achievement of appropriate authority levels and the ongoing development of all team members.
6. Manage client finances, controlling FE/PL costs, to ensure that work is delivered profitably, and that cash flow is maximised.
7. Deliver personal caseload to requiredpany standards and to the fulfilment of personal targets.
8. Providing an environment where team members feel motivated and deliver excellence.
9. Effectively deal withplaints through agreed handling processes.
10. Maximising the personal development of team members, identifying training needs and creation of succession planning.

12. Continuously improving the quality of work in the team, conducting audits as required by administrative policies and procedures, giving feedback to team members and drafting and implementing improvement plans.
13. Monitoring weekly and monthly financial management information of the team and managing the performance of team members against Key Performance Indicators.
14. Ensuring the adherence to, and creation of strategies of claims handling by individual claimant firms. This will include meeting with the Director of Costs and Technical Director to articulate challenges faced and relevant successes.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
15. Proficient in all stages of the litigation process for Detailed Assessment/Standard Costs, including cost negotiation (both recoveries and opposing) and an understanding of budgeting.
16. Full financial and handling authorities in relation to hourly rate work.
17. Ability to nurture and encourage team members to give of their best
18. Excellent listening and verbalmunication skills
19. Ability to relate to people as individuals and understand their particular needs in terms of direction, delegation, learning style etc.

24. Proficient in MS Office (word and excel in particular) and experience of using a Case/Claims Management* system.
