Salary: Without a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification: Real Living Wage – £17,158.98 per annum
With a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification: NJC Scale 3–5 – £17,502.71 - £18,058.22 per annum
Contract: Part time, fixed term
Hours: 30.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Start: January 2026
We are opening a brand new nursery class in January 2026, offering 40 term-time places for two, three and four year olds. We are looking for a dedicated, nurturing and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our early years team and help shape this new provision from the very beginning.

Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Nursery Teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
* Support the personal, social and emotional development of our youngest children, helping them feel safe, happy and ready to learn.
* Assist with the planning and preparation of high quality learning activities and resources.
* Provide targeted support for individual children, including those with additional needs, ensuring every child can thrive.
* Promote a warm, caring and inclusive environment where every child feels valued.
What we offer
We value the skills and dedication of our teaching assistants. To support the best outcomes for our students, we require a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). If you don’t yet hold this qualification, we will invest in your development by enrolling you in our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship Programme, helping you gain the behaviours, skills and experience you need to thrive in the role.
